2014 July Appeal

Dear friend of TWR,

There is an old African proverb saying that “No one person can embrace the baobab tree”. A great vision cannot be accomplished alone. It requires people joining hands and hearts together. This is certainly true of the Great Commission. And in a similar way, it is true of the ministry of TWR.

The Lord has indeed been gracious in meeting our ministry needs and we have been so encouraged to see Him touch the lives of many people through our media efforts as you see in the stories of this newsletter.

However, we need to take time to raise additional support. Over the last year, our ministry needs have become significant due to a number of reasons. In addition, nationwide and internationally people are suffering due to financial constraints and as a result we have lost support from quite a number of our ministry partners.

The biggest challenge we face is asking others to share in our support. Like many other missionary organisations, TWR-SA depends on the consistent financial support of concerned individuals to carry on their ministries. Contributions from individuals, churches and partners are the only source of income to support our ministry.

An old missionary once said about his relationship with those who support him: “You hold the rope, and I will climb down”. What a wonderful picture of a group of people who have formed a partnership with a missionary organisation like TWR, helping us to climb down to reach the lost for Christ.

Would you please consider a special donation to TWR-SA at this time and in so doing holding the rope for us? We realise that this decision is one you do not want to take lightly. Would you please pray about this? Thank you!

We appreciate and greatly value your continued faithfulness in praying and giving to the ministry. May the Lord indeed bless you!

In His grace
Danie du Preez
National Director, TWR-SA
